About Erin
I first learnt how to knit from my Nan when I was six years old and haven’t stopped since. I taught myself how to crochet as there is no one in my family knew how to do it. I’ve worked with various materials as well as learning different techniques. And different designers. But have yet to get a grasp of knitted lace. I am still passionate about crafting and I’ll still be passionate about crafting no matter how old I get. Because of the history and well it is living history. And it’s the way I relax.

I find the best way I learn is observing, trying, failing, trying again and succeeding. Only with repetition can we master the skills. I believe in positive reinforcement. And it’s okay to get angry and frustrated. Because at the end of the day it’s a stick or two sticks and fibre. You will master it in time. It was the same for me ended up making wobble scarves for my stuffed toys then one day it clicked and I was able to knit a perfect well. And from then on I have tried many different styles such as Fairisle cable jumpers along with different textures. And numerous colours and fibre types. One of my favourite places to go is to the craft store.

Perfect! The lessons with Erin are exactly what we were wanting. My daughter is really enjoying crochet and is making good progress. She enjoys the lessons so much. Erin is so passionate about her crafts, she really inspires her pupils.
