About Nivega

I'm moving onto my fourth year of medical school at Imperial College London. I have sat your exams before, remember the journey, effort and stress required to complete them. I have also experienced being a student in tuitions for KS2 to A Levels as well as self-studying, so I believe I can use this experience to create a better teaching experience for you.

I want to work with you to tailor your study experience to you so that we can work together to reach your goal. I will be patient and kind and want to make this study experience better for you, as I have experienced first-hand what feels like good vs bad tutoring.

I understand the stress, pressure and worry of feeling like you're stuck in a topic. A science teacher in year 7/8 once told me I was not good for the subject. However, through hard work, trying different tuitions and self-studying, I improved throughout the years. I got 9 in my subjects for GCSEs, As and A* for A Levels. I have a growth mindset, and I understand your positions from whether that be from what may seem like the bottom of the ladder or a few steps above or even further: because I have experienced them, and I still can as the bar for studying changes or expands throughout the years.

In my free time, I enjoy training myself physically: going to boxing twice a week, running twice a week and going to the gym regularly. I also enjoy reading books from 19th-century literature to Japanese novels, cooking and sudoku.

My classes will be online. I will work with the students, be patient, talk to them and explore their needs. This will tailor my techniques and teaching methodology. I will work with the student as I know each student learns differently and may start with different baselines, as well as using my experience as a student who has sat their exams and as a medical student who continuously studies for long durations of time. This will involve me using technology to my advantage, screen sharing, showing diagrams and creating mind maps or drawings, breaking concepts down, using analogies.
Typically a lesson will be 40 minutes as I believe this will allow for optimum levels of concentration. However, slots can be double booked for longer durations if that works better for the student.

I have informal teaching experience. However, I strive to improve my tutoring abilities and the students' and their parents' confidence in me with more formal experience, and therefore I'd like to start off my lessons with a reduced rate. I have studied using different techniques throughout my time in medical school. My GCSE grades are: 9 in Maths, 9 in Biology, 9 in Chemistry GCSEs (as well as 9 in English Literature, Language, Art, German, French, Physics) and for A levels: A* in biology, A in chemistry, A in maths. My lessons are open to anyone from KS2 to GCSE students at the moment. I am open to taking A level students in the future.
