Hello! As a Durham student, I have both experienced what top-standard education should be like and how the student should adapt to it. I believe that academic success takes a lot of individual hard work, but I also believe that this hard work can be made easier if students are pushed in the right direction. The only effective teaching method is what works for the specific student.

In order to teach maths, it is crucial to ensure that your students can comprehend the concepts that are being discussed. This requires a patient and careful approach from the tutor, designed using conversations with the student about their mathematical weaknesses and misconceptions.
My lessons are one hour but can extend to longer if necessary. I have had experience tutoring GCSE Maths, but am able to teach for both GCSE and A-Level.
