About Valerie
In college, I worked in my school's newspaper for three years, publishing more than thirty articles there. I have also been published in a creative writing journal three times, earning awards for my prose.
In high school, I graduated with a 5.0 GPA in IB English and AP Lang, which I continued to excel in in college, graduating with a 3.99 GPA. I am also an International Baccalaureate Graduate from Murrieta Valley High School.

I am a compassionate and kind teacher, and I can tailor my plans to the students' readiness and level of understanding. I have previous experience teaching children to read, starting with phonetics and moving on to complete reading comprehension.
I sandwich learning with having fun, introducing games and videos alongside the lessons to ensure that the child is learning but also enjoying reading so that they will be motivated to continue.
