About Dominica
Hi, I’m an Aerospace Engineering student with a strong academic background in Maths, English and Science, and a genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential.
Alongside my studies, I’ve mentored Year 11 students and supported peers and younger learners with revision, exam preparation and understanding difficult topics. These experiences have helped me develop clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple, engaging way.
I’m patient, approachable and adaptable, and I take pride in creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. I understand that every student learns differently, and I’m committed to supporting each individual in a way that works best for them.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, adaptable and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I begin by identifying the student’s current level and preferred learning style, then tailor my teaching accordingly. This may include breaking down complex topics into simple steps, using visual aids, real-life examples, or memory techniques such as acronyms to improve understanding and retention.
I encourage students to attempt problems independently first, guiding them where needed while reinforcing that mistakes are a normal and essential part of learning. I also track recurring areas of difficulty and revisit them to ensure a strong foundation is built over time.
Lessons typically last 1 hour, but can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and attention span.
I have experience mentoring Year 11 students, supporting them with exam preparation, revision strategies and tackling challenging topics, as well as primary kids with their SATs. I have also created personalised revision plans and resources for students, helping them build effective study habits.
My lessons are suitable for primary, KS3 and GCSE students, particularly those looking to improve confidence, strengthen fundamentals, or prepare for exams. Subjects offered are: Maths (and Further Maths), English (Literature & Language) and all the Sciences.
Grades: 11 GCSE grades 7-9 (including 8 in English Language, Maths, Further Maths and Triple Science and a 7 in English Literature).
