About Tom

I am a trainee primary school teacher, having had experience with children with learning difficulties in the primary setting. I have worked 1:1 with children as a teaching assistant and have taught lessons in reception classes, including maths, phonics and guided reading.

About the lesson

I base my teaching practice around positive thinking and resilience: no matter how tricky something may be, if you keep trying and don't give up, you can achieve anything! First I demonstrate what the focus is and I model the lesson objective. Then I support the group/individuals so they can apply their skills as independently as possible.
