I like to base my provision on inclusion and independence. Since I have been working with children who need assistance I have noticed they they are often left out of group activities because they can be very overwhelming. My support focuses on practicing pupils’ key skills such as Supplementary speech and language and occupational therapy, group and social activities and functional skills in order to aid their independence. Ideally the goal is to increase inclusion by helping the children become more independent.
Currently studying education and at St. Mary’s University. I have been working in schools since 2015 supporting primary aged pupils in class with daily school activities. I have also been doing private tutoring online for 2 months for a year 5 pupil for 2 months.
