About Sophie
I am a classically trained musician currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music and King’s College London, with extensive experience as both a soloist and a tutor. In the summer of 2025, I led the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra at the Verbier Festival, working with world-renowned conductors. I have also won numerous top awards, including the WMSO Young Musician Concerto Competition 2024 and the Hattori Foundation Junior Award for Music and Arts 2024. Having achieved Violin FTCL at 12, Grade 8 Distinction at age of 7, and teaching experience at institutions like the Greenery Music Centre and Clifton College, I combine a high standard of technical precision with a patient, encouraging approach.
Whether your child is a complete beginner or preparing for auditions, I provide personalised lessons designed to build confidence, technique, and a lifelong love for music!

Feel free to ask me if you have any questions. I’m happy to provide alternative lesson durations - 30 mins, 45 mins, 2 hours - depending on what would be most suitable for the student. I’m also very open to discussing my teaching approach and I aim to tailor my lesson approaches to suit the student.
