About Amy
I personally really enjoy all my subjects and learning new content but I found that for a lot of people, they don't enjoy their subjects because they don't actually understand what they've been taught. Lessons given by teachers tend to ignore the individual and they aren't very helpful since they only teach you to regurgitate these special phrases or copy a learned process that you are entirely detached from. I think that once you have a tutor sit one on one with you, there is so much more you can get out of learning because there is someone who is pushing for you to truly understand the content, and make sure you know why something is the way that it is. I want to create a safe environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and be wholeheartedly motivated to learn. In doing so, they will also do well in their tests.

- Lessons will be around 2 hours long, up to 3x a week, although you can customise the length/frequency of your session to your preference.
- I will teach theory first and actively ask questions to make sure they understand, then I will give an end of topic test along with extra exam questions/homework if necessary. I am quite flexible so I can adjust teaching style to the student.
- I have tutored a student for A-Level Biology before, and managed to raise their grades from an E to a B.
