About Cassi
I have been an educator for 20 years and never dreamed of any other career. I have taught in the classroom as well as one on one. I have even been in a role that allows me to mentor and supervise other tutors and teachers. Most recently I have been working with dyslexic students using the Barton Reading and Spelling system. During my 5 years using the program I have tutored several students and even took 2 students from the beginning to the end of the program. I love watching students learn and grow!

I am certified to use the Barton Reading and Spelling system to teach dyslexic students to read and spell. The program is Orton-Gillingham based and I have had many students become more confident with their reading and spelling abilities. I also use the IEW(Institute for Excellence in Writing) program to teach writing. The program has a systematic approach that can work for all learners.
