About Madeleine
Having recently completed my International Baccalaureate Diploma, I am acutely aware of the pressures facing current GCSE/IB students. Unlike STEM subjects, languages (though always having been of interest to me), are both difficult to learn, and to teach. As a tutor, I hope that together, we are able to learn on your terms: finding areas of weakness and improving your understanding without the pressure to keep up or worry of falling behind. I am currently attending KCL to complete a degree in English and Spanish Law whilst developing my professional Arabic. I have lived in New Zealand, Egypt and Toledo (Spain), so am comfortable with a diverse range of students and backgrounds.

Spanish
Language has been a critical tool to 'unlocking doors' in my life. Rather than rote revision of exam content, I hope to encourage students to involve themselves with their subject matter in order to gain a holistic understanding and appreciation of the discipline. A focus on the gradual development of a student's analytical skills through exploration is essential to fostering confidence. This, accompanied by individualised feedback and homework tasks, allows students to develop in preparation for IB examinations.
