About Thalia
I am a librarian, yoga teacher, and I study Traditional Chinese Medicine. My family is made up of my two sons and myself. They enjoy playing video games more than reading this year.
I enjoy learning new topics as well as deepening my knowledge on curious topics.

A tutoring lesson with Thalia is designed to focus on the student and their goals. During our time together, we will discuss the assignment parameters, student goals, due dates, and ways to make the assignment manageable.
Sets Thalia apart - I start with the end in mind. If the due date is in two weeks, the student is asked to consider a tentative timeline for completing the assignment. From the due date, the student can work backwards. Each step of the writing and research process can be tracked in a way that a student can complete one segment of their assignment to feel accomplished and stays on track. For example, a student who has 4 days to complete an assignment would need to complete more work each day to reach the due date. For a different student, might have 4 weeks for the assignment. We break down each set of tasks into manageable daily goals, thus creating less work each day.
