About Josephine
I am a University of British Columbia (UBC) Science graduate with a major in Pharmacology and a minor in Psychology. I have 4.5 years of tutoring experience in Math for Gr. 1-12 and 9 years of volunteering experience with children and youth. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, I can offer lessons in these languages. I would love to be part of your academic journey and help you achieve your goals!

My aim is to create an interactive learning environment for students to achieve their academic goals. I start off by understanding what the student hopes to gain from the lessons. Then, together with the student, we collaboratively develop a lesson plan that caters to their specific needs — whether it involves reviewing concepts covered in the previous school year, prepping for upcoming tests, or learning ahead for the new term. Drawing upon my years of experience in working with children and youth, I can explain concepts in ways that make it easy for the student to comprehend. I hope to help my students build confidence in the subjects and make learning an enjoyable experience.
