About Amy
Hi! My name is Amy and I’m a first year med student at UCD!
I absolutely love math and science and I’ve been giving grinds for about two years now to students of all levels and abilities. I love teaching and helping my students work towards their goals for the exam, whatever they may be!
I received maximum points in my Leaving Cert, including a H1 in math, applied math, physics and chemistry.
I am patient, approachable and focused on helping you reach your potential!

I focus on building strong foundations and exam confidence through clear, concise explanations and lots of practice! I tailor each lesson to my individual student’s current ability, learning style and goal for their exam. I try to break down the more complex topics into manageable steps, focusing particularly on past paper questions and exam technique/strategy.
I have 2 years of experience tutoring students of all abilities and levels (higher & ordinary). So whether you are struggling to grasp the basics or aiming for top grades, I would love to help you reach your goal!
Lessons typically run 60 - 70 minutes and I am flexible with scheduling. I am also available between classes for a quick question via text at no extra charge.
Although I try to take an exam-focused approach to teaching, I aim to help my students truly understand the concepts they are studying, so that they can enter their exam at ease and with confidence!
As a recent leaving cert student myself I feel I am up-to-date with the exam process, coursework & mathematical calculation methods used in recent years. I understand how difficult and confusing it can be when tutors apply alternative methods and I do my utmost to avoid this.
