About Anders
I’m a second-year Mathematics undergraduate at UCL with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in teaching. I achieved three A* grades at A-level, nine 9s at GCSE, was a John Colet Scholar at St Paul’s School, earned four UKMT Mathematics Gold Medals, and achieved a First in my first year at UCL. I enjoy working with GCSE and A-level Maths students of all abilities, whether they are building confidence or aiming for top grades. I aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making steady progress. I have experience tutoring students individually and enjoy adapting my teaching style to each learner. I also support students preparing for university admissions tests such as MAT and TMUA, having performed in the top 5% nationally in both.

My lessons are structured, supportive, and carefully personalised to each student. I work closely with exam mark schemes to help students understand how marks are awarded, while keeping explanations clear and reassuring. I use mistakes positively to identify and gently close gaps in understanding, making sure no key ideas are missed. Concepts are explained from first principles and adapted to the student’s pace and confidence.
My aim is to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and steadily build confidence, accuracy, and exam readiness. I also offer fully personalised lessons, including bespoke homework and tutorial question packs, while being equally happy to work with any school or teacher provided materials.
