About Tish
I am currently a UCL student studying for a BSc in Global Humanitarian Studies. My degree has not only deepened my understanding of global issues but has also strengthened my ability to research effectively, structure essays clearly, and approach coursework with precision and creativity. Alongside this, my A-Levels in Psychology, History, and Philosophy have developed my critical thinking, analytical skills, and ability to form balanced arguments. Additionally, my background as an English tutor has equipped me with the tools to help students with creative writing, comprehension, poem analysis, and other key areas of English — making learning feel both approachable and engaging.

I strive to make my lessons engaging and interactive as I believe that is how knowledge is best learnt. My lessons range from an hour to two hours dependant on what the student feels is comfortable for them learn and retain properly. Most of my students are in the process of preparing for 11+ , GCSEs and I also help with mentoring for personal statements. I have had experience with working as a tutor for such age groups in person as well. In my lessons, I provide resources and work from booklets, making sure my student is not memorising but also understanding concepts. I also use past paper and exam questions to further enable students to excel.
