About Yusr
Hi, I'm Yusr! I'm a Psychology student at UCLA with a strong academic record and a passion for helping students succeed. Throughout my academic journey, I've learned that the key to success isn't just memorizing information—it's truly understanding it. That's the approach I bring to every tutoring session.
I strive to create a welcoming, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Whether we're reviewing difficult concepts, preparing for an exam, or building stronger study habits, my goal is to help students gain confidence in their abilities and become more independent learners.

I'm Yusr, a Psychology student at UCLA with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students build confidence in their learning. My goal is not only to help students find the right answer but to help them understand the reasoning behind it so they can solve similar problems independently.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and personalized. Every student learns differently, so I adjust my explanations based on their learning style. I like to break complex concepts into smaller, manageable steps, encourage questions, and use real-world examples or memory techniques to make difficult topics easier to understand. I also believe that making mistakes is an important part of learning, so I create a judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking for help.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the topics the student wants to work on and any areas they find challenging. We review concepts together, work through guided practice problems, and then the student applies what they've learned independently while I provide feedback. At the end of each session, I summarize the key points and suggest strategies or practice to reinforce the material.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to each student's pace. As a pre-med student, I understand how overwhelming rigorous coursework can feel, and I focus on building both understanding and confidence rather than memorization alone. I'm organized, encouraging, and committed to helping students reach their academic goals.
My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and introductory college students. I can provide support in psychology, biology, general chemistry, algebra, study skills, exam preparation, note-taking strategies, and general academic organization.
