I'm a first year student at Queen's University Belfast, with a passion for teaching- I'm hoping to do a PGCE and teach at secondary school level.
I'm a native English speaker and have an A* in both GSCE English Literature and English Language, as well as an A in A-Level English Literature. As such I'd be happy to give lessons to anybody studying English at these levels, especially (But not exclusively!) if they're doing their exams with CCEA.
As GCSEs and A-Levels are still quite fresh in my memory I understand how it feels to be preparing for them, and how tough it can be without the right support. I prefer a laid-back, relaxed, friendlier style of teaching, but will happily adopt whatever methods any prospective student feels would work best for them.
As a keen language enthusiast I would also welcome the chance to teach English to non-native speakers.
I've been tutoring English casually for two years, but admittedly it's very casual, unpaid work. This is my first step into 'proper' tutoring.
Admittedly this would, in a way, be a learning experience for me too. But I'm just as willing to learn as I am to teach!
