Engaging educational methods to facilitate a fun and personalised approach to learning, is essential to stimulating a student’s enjoyment and appreciation for Physics and Mathematics.
Within lessons, I warm up my students with a few relevant questions on topics we have covered before. Then, we dive into 1/2 of the main topic(s) in their curriculum. Lastly, we cool down by recapping what we have covered that day.
I believe the act of learning is a combination of excellent memorisation techniques, practice and boundless curiosity. I always try to encourage my students to ask as many questions as possible, get them to explain their own thought processes and then regularly test them to see what they've fully understood - pushing them even further when they do.
Finding the right tutor should be safe and successful, not hard and stressful. To those who are interested in becoming one of my students, all I ask of you is to bring a willingness to learn and good internet connection and the sky's your limit.
I have been tutoring Maths and Physics for over two years now from 2017. A year and three months of this time was done under tutoring agency working with variety of students aged four to fourteen. I now have plenty of experience working with students with learning disabilities such as; ADHD and Dyslexia. Along the way, I developed strong administrative talents with a proven ability to document, track, and update student progress through formal reporting procedures. This is used as a guide to identify the most suitable areas of the subject to focus on and tackle, which rapidly improved their results. . Consequentially, I was awarded ‘Tutor of the Quarter’ within the first six months of practice.
Upon leaving I began to tutor online and have continued to help students achieve their full potential.
I am an civil engineering student at Loughborough University, one of the top 10 universities in the UK. I have 10 GCSE grades ranging from B-A*'s with a grade 9 (A*) in GCSE Maths and Physics. I also attained 3 A's at A level in Physics, Maths and Art.
The following year after GCSE’s, I was accepted into a Physics summer school at the University of Oxford; I spent the week researching and learning about the mechanisms of the space probe designed for the Mars ‘Insight’ Mission.
In my free time I play regional level Handball for my university and instruments such as; piano, electric guitar and harmonica.
