About Navya
What sets me apart is that I understand what it feels like to be a student who is expected to learn challenging material quickly. As a Human Biology student pursuing a pre-med path, I have experience with rigorous science and math coursework, including biology, chemistry, calculus, and statistics. I also completed the IB Diploma Programme, so I am familiar with the demands of advanced coursework, exams, internal assessments, and managing multiple challenging subjects at once.
I have also spent significant time tutoring and working with younger students. Because of this, I prioritize patience, encouragement, and creating an environment where students feel comfortable saying, "I don't understand this yet." My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.

With 4 years of prior tutoring experience, I'm well-versed in lesson planning, engaging students during class, and adapting to their learning preferences. I've worked with students of all age levels and abilities, which makes me very flexible as a tutor. Lessons for both math and English are 1 hour long, with 30 minutes of instruction time and 30 minutes of practice. They can be altered to fit the needs of your student at any point.
