About Elandra
Hi there! I’m Elandra, an undergraduate at University College London (UCL).
I completed my IB Diploma in 2022. Having so recently completed my secondary school studies, I am able to relate to students on academic challenges they might encounter. I am able to work closely alongside them tod envelop their confidence and ability to tackle challenges.
I achieve this through building a relationship with each of my students; each tutoring session is wholly cultivated to best suit their needs. I may also occasionally set small tasks outside of lesson time to encourage the development of independent learning in my students.
Lessons are usually as follows:
Our first class together will involve a discussion about particular topics students are struggling with so that I may create a lesson plan for following weeks. I then set questions so that I may garner how they structure their response, to identify the best methods of teaching: whether it be from working on exam technique or covering course content. Following lessons will involve focuses on particular topics, whether it be Macbeth or photosynthesis. This is followed by a few exam questions at the end of each class.
I myself have GCSE and IB Diploma qualifications. The subjects I took are as follows:

I generally expect my students to be working towards an A/B grade, but am also happy to consider those who are engaged and willing to learn.
I have been tutoring for three years, and have experience in both online and in person tutoring.

I’m a current undergraduate at UCL, studying Egyptology. I took biology for my sixth form studies. I specialise in practicing and applying exam technique. Including source based questions. I have also previously assisted tutees with coursework. Lessons geenrally a blend of discussion based-question and exam practice.
