About Yanis
I am a sophomore undergraduate college student with a strong background in Computer Science and STEM subjects. I enjoy helping others understand challenging concepts and making difficult material feel more approachable. I am patient, professional, and committed to adapting my teaching style to each student's needs. My goal is to help students improve their understanding, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed independently.
I am also currently a Tutor and Coordinator at Synapse Science & Technology Learning Center in Orlando. I tutor in statistics, ELA, science... I have also tutored elementary school math in the past. Thus, I have a lot of experience tutoring different subjects to different types of students, all of different levels.

I focus on understanding rather than memorization. I break difficult topics into simple steps, use examples and practice problems, and guide students toward solving problems independently.
I begin by reviewing what the student knows and identifying areas of difficulty. I then explain the concept, work through examples, and have the student practice with guidance before finishing with a quick review.
I understand the challenges of college-level STEM courses and focus on explaining not just the answer, but the reasoning behind it. I am able to translate that to any K-12 grade class as it follows the same principles. My goal is to build confidence and independent problem-solving skills.

Details
