About Alex
I'd love to teach English because I always enjoyed the subject at school. I was an avid reader (before university got in the way!) for a long time, but saw how disinterested other students became with certain GCSE material. I taught myself how to find interest in those materials that may not have originally entertained me, and utilised the intervention scheme at my school to improve my grades. Those skills have stayed with me, making me more adaptable in terms of academic learning, and I'd like to be able to pass those skills on to others.

I know how stressful English exams can be at GCSE level, and understand that not everybody works in the same way. I am adaptable, and always open to trying new methods to help students understand material. I'm patient, and seek to put no pressure on students - my only goal is to help where it's needed!
