I am Mahlia, I am 21 and live in the South West. I love working with young people and hope to bring a little bit more engagement through encouraging personality and expression in learning. I foster a growth mindset, and so I know that I can overcome challenges when I persevere.

I am very open-minded when it comes to lesson planning, driving holistic engagement and enjoyment throughout. I would encourage an initial assessment (not necessarily formative) in order to accurately accommodate areas for growth in knowledge and understanding. Feedback is key - this is best derived from the child’s own voice. I encourage the child’s own expression of what is ‘tricky’ for them and then work around this together!
