About Emma
Two of my passions in life include: teaching Geography and helping people to overcome barriers to fulfil their potential.
Many students come lacking confidence in their writing skills, knowledge or understanding. Some students may be struggling to pass their A-Levels, and some are striving to reach the very top grades. Other students may navigating learning challenges like dyslexia or dyspraxia.
I work with each of my students to help them develop their skills, knowledge and confidence and achieve their very best. It fills me with such joy to see the transformation in my students!

Qualifications
- Strong 2:1 in Geography (BA) from University of Cambridge
- A-Levels in Geography (A), English Language (A*), Psychology (A)
Experience
Tutor Geography A-Level, GCSE, university essay writing.
Approach to teaching:
1. Understanding students' individual needs: current academic circumstances, challenges & goals. Help students to set goals and identify steps they can take to move towards their targets (termly review of goals).
2. Provide structured learning experience, utilising checklists based on syllabus specifications that allow students to map their advancement and feel a sense of achievement.
3. Build a solid foundation by ensuring students grasp key concepts, before introducing more complex information and tackling areas of difficulty. Resources given so students can revisit key information.
4. Gauge students' comprehension through interactive tasks and practising exam questions at the end of sessions and reviewing answers together.
