About Gijs
In the past year I have tutored in mathematics, chemistry and physics to students in their pre-university, HAVO and VMBO exam year. As a result, all my students have successfully completed their exams with grades between 7 and 8.5. My pre-university chemistry tutor even started tutoring chemistry himself after his exams. In addition to tutoring secondary school students, I taught science and technology at primary schools and worked as a classroom assistant for six months.

Students from all years of age and from every level can contact me. Even if you are a HBO or WO bachelor student in a science field, I can probably help you. Together with my pupil I go through the curriculum and ask what he / she has difficulty with. Then we will work together on assignments, for which I find it important to let the students come to the answer themmselves. I will give hints if he / she gets stuck, but never give the answer. If it really does not work, I will present an elaboration and explain each step, so that a good understanding understanding is developed. Afterwards, the student will attempt a similar excersise with less help.

De paar lessen die ik heb gekregen van Gijs Arnold hebben ervoor gezorgd dat ik mijn examen heb gehaald! Duidelijke en concrete uitleg waar iedereen baat bij kan hebben.
Gijs gaf mij vorig schooljaar, toen ik in de tweede klas van vwo zat, elke zondag bijles. En omdat ik vwo deed, had ik best wel moeilijke stof. Ik had voor wiskunde bijvoorbeeld voor de bijlessen een onvoldoende gehaald. Toen besloot ik bijlessen te gaan volgen. Dus ik kwam toen elke week langs bij Gijs voor de bijlessen en met resultaat! Ik haalde een 8.5 voor de volgende wiskunde toets. Dit gold niet alleen voor wiskunde, maar ook voor natuurkunde. Ik denk heel eerlijk gezegd dat ik niet over was gegaan zonder de bijlessen die gijs me gegeven had, dus ik vind dat hij de titel Superprof verdient!
Groeten Logan!Gijs heeft mij gered met scheikunde: zonder hem zou ik geheid zijn gezakt voor dit vak en uiteindelijk heb ik een 7.9 gehaald voor mijn eindexamen. Hij legt duidelijk uit en heeft een goed begrip van de stof. Hij is geduldig en zorgt voor een prettige lesomgeving.
