A University Honours History Student offering History and English tutoring in Glasgow
Methodology
Ideally, I would prefer to give lessons at the IB level down through GCSEs and the secondary school level. I always start with getting to know the student as understanding how the student learns the best is vital so that they're getting the most out of their time with me. Consequently, I approach subjects catered to their learning strengths and also the expectations they have; I conduct teaching in a logical manner and not in a convoluted way that ends up confusing the student more. I am an incredibly patient person and don't believe that there is only one way to learn something.
Experience
I am a third year, honours university student and I have completed both GCSEs and the IB. I have been giving lessons for the past five years and have taught over ten people over those years. I dedicate a lot of time and effort to the individuals or groups that I tutor. All of them achieved better grades than they were expected to in the GCSE and IB courses they required help with. I have also tutored individuals who have dyslexia, so learning disabilities are not a concern for me in terms of who I can and can't teach.
