About Rowan
Degree in European Development Studies from University College Cork (Ireland) and Université Montaigne Bordeaux 3 (France). I also have a certificate in TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language). Lived in the UK, Ireland, France and China - where I worked originally as an English teacher before transitioning as an Art Consultant at a Hong Kong based contemporary gallery. I have also worked in the fashion industry for three years, at a large luxury brand in Shanghai, where I lived for 9 years. My previous position was a Cultural Studies and IELTS Lecturer at Shanghai International Studies University.

Depending on the age and level of the student, and also on the subject. Many students struggle with a standard methodology often used in schools and can then become weak at a subject. My approach would be to make the subject as interesting as possible for the student which means teaching styles would be altered to suit the student best.
