I have found in the past that the best way to learn Mathematics is to do it. My lessons usually start with me posing a question that may at first seem very difficult. Then we go back to first principles and build up with a series of exercises that themselves reveal the approach that could be taken. Once my student has gained confidence and developed a level of fluency with the mathematical ideas, we go back to the original problem and suddenly it seems far more easy to solve.
I have recently graduated from the University of Leeds with a bachelors in Mathematics. I have plenty of experience of tutoring in the past to children of all ages, and really enjoy passing on a love of Maths to others.
