About Rachael
Hello!
My name is Rachael and I am a recent Bachelor of Arts graduate from the University of Melbourne. I completed a major in Language and Linguistics and received first class honours (H1) in all linguistics major subjects. I am super passionate about linguistics and will be completing honours in linguistics in 2021.
I have also completed a Diploma of Languages (French), also from the University of Melbourne. I obtained an H1 average in my French diploma and have studied and worked in France.
I am available for tutoring throughout the semester, exam preparation, as well as assistance on essay structure.
I have received grades above 90 for essays, including:
94 in LING20009 - Language in Aboriginal Australia
95 in LING30001 - Exploring Linguistic Diversity (the Linguistics capstone)
92 in FREN30006 - French Translation
I have previously worked as a tutor for VCE English Language, and I particularly enjoy helping students refine their essay argumentation and structure.
I achieved an ATAR of 97.25.
I was the 2018 recipient of the Lin Martin Global Scholarship and in 2019 the recipient of a Faculty of Arts exchange-enabling scholarship. I have also received two scholarships from Janet Clarke Hall, a residential college at the University of Melbourne.

I can adjust my curriculum to student needs. I am available to tutor high-achieving students aiming for a high study score, as well as students in need of extra support.
I have developed materials that can be used to support content learning and to complement schoolwork, on an ongoing/weekly basis. In addition, I am available for short-term assistance, for example in preparation for a SAC or essay.
