About Alex
I am a third year Bachelor of Science / Master of Engineering Student at the University of Melbourne, studying a Major of Mechanical Engineering. I received a 98.55 ATAR in VCE, studying Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, Physics and Systems Engineering. I've been tutoring for over two year, both privately and for an in-school tutoring company. I am excited to offer tutoring to secondary school students in STEM, and to share my fresh and specific knowledge of how to succeed in VCE STEM subjects with those doing VCE.

By sharing my own passion for STEM and giving my students regular achievable goals, my lessons will progress my student's understanding, while sparking curiosity and enjoyment of the pursuit of learning. I believe that fostering interest and curiosity for a topic is crucial to understanding the content and achieving good marks.
My strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with my knowledge of the content will ensure lessons are productive and enjoyable, to help my students progress.
My lessons take place online over zoom using a digital pen and tablet to work through content.
I offer detailed and concise bound notes for Maths Methods, Systems Engineering, and Physics suitable for use in SACs and exams.

Alex understands what it means to be a student. He is engaging, interesting, and easy to get along with while going above and beyond to ensure his students understand the content he teaches and pushes them to get the grade they strive for. He is a great fit for any student who wants a "fun" tutor that won't bore them.
Alex is hands down one of the best tutors I've ever met, he's enthusiastic, friendly, always on time and was even prepared to work around his own schedule to fit in a few more requested sessions.
His teaching style is very well suited to a majority of learning styles and he has no trouble going into more detail about certain topics.
Overall Alex is an awesome tutor and a great person, easy going but still delivering an in depth lesson at the same level as some full time teachers. I would absolutely recommend Alex to anyone who is looking for help in any of his offered fields. My personal experiences with Alex have shown that he's an extremely diligent and hardworking individual, with lots of respect and willingness to help out others. Overall, I'd say he'd make a great teacher because he's a down to earth bloke with lots of knowledge up his sleeve.
Alex has been a great friend for as long as I can remember. A strong leader, hardworking and an extremely fun and humorous person, qualities which will definitely make a great learning environment for anyone trying to achieve top marks. I remember Alex built a guitar tuner (that physically turns the knobs on the guitar to tune it), many complexities and technicalities in that contraption but nonetheless, he followed it through to the end creating a wonderful innovative invention, and it is my belief he will employ the same determination towards making sure you achieve the marks you want.
Alex helped me through my maths classes in year 12 teaching me great ways to go about learning content, motivating me to work harder and helping me through many of my questions. He is a dedicated and smart person/teacher who is kind and very helpful and was a huge value to my learning process in year 12. I recommend Alex because of how much he helped me through year 12 and through school, both giving me valuable knowledge on how to self teach, and also increasing my grades dramatically. He is wonderful at simplifying things and explaining them, especially through zoom calls, being a reliable and trustworthy teacher who I could ask about anything. He knew the content backwards and forwards which meant he was a brilliant source when my teacher was unavailable, and his friendly nature made him perfect to come to when I needed help. 10/10 would recommend his teaching!
