About Josh
Hi! I'm a friendly and enthusiastic graduate of the University of Oxford having studied Maths and Stats! I absolutely love teaching, and have 5+ years of experience, tutoring 30+ students of varying ages and abilities. I have a proven track record of helping students achieve their goals, including places at top universities (including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial), top grades at GCSE, A-level, National 5, and Scottish Highers, and places at selective secondary schools. My goal is to help even the most complicated parts of maths feel approachable! I help to nurture student's intuitive understanding of why the maths actually works, and in the long term this helps them more than memorising methods to solve a problem! I love figuring out how I can tailor my sessions to engage each student best, whether that involves targeting weaker topics, or pushing students to learn relevant knowledge beyond the specification. For GCSE, A-level, National 5 and Scottish Higher students, I have experience across all of the major examination boards. I also can help with STEP and TMUA tests and provide interview prep and practice!
