About Euan
I have a great passion and love for the art of teaching and sharing information, with the aspiration that one day I will be a fully qualified teacher at a university standard. Due to this desire, I both value and love the importance of learning myself and practising the methods of teaching. Henceforth, I am a Second Class honours graduate from Lancaster University in Politics and Philosophy who mainly specialises in the education of ethics, liberty, environmental security and East-African politics. Whilst, having a great deal of joy in constantly expanding my horizon of knowledge, focusing on; Politics, Philosophy, Economics and History. Among this, I have provided myself with much experience in teaching; this has taken the form of Tutoring for the past two years and working as a teaching assistant and cover teacher for nearly a full academic year. These approaches have provided practice in leading lessons in classroom environments. Whilst granting me the opportunity to learn from those who have been performing the art of teaching for extended longevity of time.

As someone who teaches economics and undertook studies at a minor level at university, achieving a first grade culminated with an A grade; A-level maths is something I am very customed to. Furthermore, I have a maths GCSE at an A* grade standard, showing that I have an excellent understanding of the foundations of maths itself. With this knowledge, I deliver fun interactive lessons to ensure engagement with students when learning new complicated concepts. Thus, my classes are very hands-on and interactive with many questions and answers, to both act as means to test understanding and opportunities to diverge and explore further avenues of maths and how all maths can be seen to relate. This, tied with written questions marked and discussed with the student, allows corrections to be made and acknowledged. Learning from mistakes through discussion is the best means of learning subjects such as maths. Finally, I always try to maintain a high level of approachability, being relatively fast in responding to messages and questions, outside tutoring lessons, and marking any additional work. Consequently, my classes are fun, interactive, hands-on, and straightforward. I believe it allows the best opportunity for any student of any ability to learn and achieve the best they can.

Perfect! Thank you Euan, helped my reluctant son see that tutoring isn’t as bad as he thought, made him feel comfortable, spoke to him on his level and did some great assessment work on first session!
Perfect! Euan was on time, polite and friendly. He was really patient with Jack and took him through the maths issue he had been struggling with. On asking Jack said he loved the lesson, thank you.

Euan has provided many well constructed and well led sessions that have greatly helped me with my school work raising my grades back to where they should be. Brilliant.
Euan is extremely knowledgeable regarding economics. He keeps up with all current affairs and has a good understanding of economics with regard to how economics helps shape politics and philosophy and vice versa.
Euan is highly confident and enthusiastic regarding this subject and describes concepts very well. I have found him to be a great source of information and is always willing to help and is very patient even when I struggle with certain concepts.
Overall, I would highly recommend Euan if you would like to further your understanding of Economics.Has explained concepts to me in philosophy and politics in an easy and helpful way so that I understood them!
