About Aaliyah
I’m a university student with experience tutoring students between the ages of 10-17; which has included SATS preparation and GCSE and A-Level tutoring. I enjoy modern and older literature, and study Biochemistry at university, so I am well versed in the sciences.

As someone that has struggled with paying attention in class and actually understanding what I’ve been taught at school, I know firsthand what it’s like to not enjoy being a student. I can help build your skills and refresh your confidence.
I am a second year university student, and I have received a grade nine in GCSE English Language, a grade 9-8 in combined science, and a grade 7 in maths. I was previously predicted 4s and 5s in these subjects, but I persevered and worked hard to get to where I am today.
I start by prompting students to ‘blurt’ their knowledge about key topics, and expand on them after building a strong foundation by explaining a topic with anecdotes and examples, before showing them alternative solutions for a range of different problems. I heavily encourage questions, and I give the students control over their learning. These lessons tend to be an hour per topic, and I am to teach two topics per session.
