About Rachel
I am a university student currently studying Food Science and Health in the University of Limerick, and I achieved a H2 in Higher Level French and English in the Leaving Cert.
As I have completed the Leaving Cert myself recently, I understand exactly what students need to focus on to achieve high marks. I aim to make lessons clear, practical, and tailored to each individual, helping students improve both their understanding and confidence.
I create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, while also keeping lessons structured and focused on results.
I am reliable, organized, and committed to helping students reach their full potential, while also ensuring it is a balanced environment during these stressful times the exams can bring.

I am a university student studying Food Science and Health in UL and achieved a H2 in Higher Level French and English in the leaving Cert.
My approach to teaching is focused on helping students understand exactly what examiners are looking for, rather than just memorising content. I keep lessons relaxed and supportive, while being structured and productive.
In French, I focus on improving oral confidence, written expression, and key vocabulary, as well as practising exam-style questions. I also correct written work and give clear feedback on how to improve.
For English, I help with essay structure, understanding texts, going through the comparative's, and developing strong answers that achieve higher marks.
Lessons will typically be one hour long and are tailored to each student's needs and level, whether Junior Cycle or Leaving cert.
I offer online sessions typically but in person can be arranged upon discussion.
