About Alexa
I am a 2nd year university student at UCL studying biomedical engineering. I have a Grade 8 piano qualification and a Grade 5 music theory qualification.
I have entered many piano performance competitions so I have picked up a variety of techniques from those experiences. Throughout my life at high school I have helped my friends with their end of year music performances and my classmates within my music GCSE classes.
I have helped my cousin with her grade 3 pieces for a year.
I have taught my 5 year old brother everything he knows about the piano for less than a year and now he is able to play simple pieces with both hands.

My lessons will be tailored to helping the student achieve their personal goal in the realm of music: whether it’s exploring specific genres of music on the piano or gaining knowledge of basic music theory. Even if the student wishes to explore a new instrument as a hobby, I will try my best to provide musical knowledge which will benefit them in the long term.
For young beginners, I generally teach following the structure of the John Thompson Easiest Piano Course book and highly recommend this book.
