About Tyler
I am a piano, voice, and music tutor dedicated to helping students of all ages grow in confidence and their love of music.
I studied music at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, completing 60 music credits towards my Professional Studies Arts Concentration. My background includes church music direction, piano instruction, music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and musicianship.
Currently, I serve as the Associate Director of Liturgical Arts at The Basilica of Saint Mary in Downtown Minneapolis.
Whether you're just beginning or looking to strengthen your skills, I provide patient, personalized lessons tailored to your goals and learning style.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student's goals. I believe students learn best when lessons are both structured and enjoyable, creating a positive environment where they can build confidence and develop a lifelong love of music.
A typical lesson includes warm-up exercises, technique, repertoire, sight-reading, music theory, and ear training, with plenty of time to ask questions and work through challenges together.
What sets me apart is my ability to meet students where they are. Whether you learn quickly or need extra encouragement, I adapt my teaching to your pace.
Lessons are available for children, teens, and adults of all experience levels, from complete beginners to intermediate pianists looking to strengthen their technique, musicianship, and confidence at the piano.
