About Emily
As a Pre-Medical Bioengineering student at the University of Washington, I’m deeply passionate about math and the sciences—and I love sharing that enthusiasm with others. I’ve worked with more than 25 high-school students, helping them strengthen their conceptual understanding, build confidence, and achieve meaningful improvements in their grades. I have completed collegiate math courses up until Matrix Algebra with high scores. Additionally, I have taken and received 4's and 5's on multiple AP exams including AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry and AP Physics 1. I am confident that anyone can succeed in math and sciences with the right tools and will do everything I can to help you achieve the goals that you strive for!

I provide highly adaptive, student-centered tutoring focused on clarity, confidence, and deep understanding. My lessons combine tailored explanations, guided practice, and active learning to fit any pace or level. I like to start out a lesson with going over what it is you're not feeling confident in or what areas are causing you to struggle. I then like to see you attempt to do some homework or practice problems to get an understanding of deeper conceptual issues you may not understand. From there we can get those deeper level understandings sorted out and work on homework problems together. I support high school and middle school learners, offering patient, structured guidance that makes complex topics accessible and engaging.
