About Lucy
Hi! I'm Lucy, I have a love for travel and the outdoors. I am an experienced international high school teacher having taught in China and India. I have 7+ years experience in the Australian high school education system as a learning officer, program manager and tutor. I have worked along side the University of Wollongong teaching and presenting educational workshops for high schools students for many years in the subject of English. I personally did not fit into conventional schooling and through this experience I have created tools and workshops designed to help students crush their English assignments and exams. My teaching technique is all about creating an engaging environment that makes students enjoy learning. I myself am a dyslexic and ADHD student who struggled with engagement. Using my personal experience plus that of my may years tutoring for schools and Universities I bring a fun and different approach. Classes can be however long you wish but I do believe no shorter than 30mins is optimal. I have a Bachelors degree in the arts and in paramedicine studies, I have taught at International boarding schools in China and have been a tutor for the University of Wollongong for many years. I am extremely experienced in essay writing and year 10-12 exam preparation, I am also well versed in helping students at a lower level than their peers catch up to speed. I can teach all ages and all levels.
