About Ansh
I am an incoming Applied and Computational Math student at USC Dornsife, currently in a gap period before starting my program. During this time, I am interning at a technology startup, where I work on real-world applied cryptography and digital identity systems, including implementing established international security frameworks. This work requires the same rigorous, structured thinking that high-level math and physics demand, and I bring that same discipline into every lesson I teach.
I take tutoring seriously as a professional commitment, not a casual side activity. I prepare for each session in advance, communicate clearly and promptly, and hold myself to the same standards of reliability I apply to my academic and professional work. Having gone through rigorous exam preparation myself in these exact subjects, I understand both the material and the pressure that comes with mastering it, and I aim to make that process feel structured and manageable rather than overwhelming.
My goal with every student is to build genuine understanding, not just short-term memorization for a single test. I believe strong performance in high-level math and physics comes from clear reasoning and consistent practice, and I structure my lessons around building both.

My approach starts with diagnosis. Before jumping into new material, I figure out exactly where a student's understanding breaks down because each needs a different fix. For high-level math and physics especially, I focus on how answers are actually graded, not on the final answer. AP-level physics and calculus problems are scored on the structure of your reasoning, and teaching students to present their thinking the way graders expect is often the best way they can improve.
A typical session starts with a quick check-in on recent classwork and any upcoming tests, moves into a short targeted review of the specific concept causing trouble, then spends the bulk of the time on guided practice. The student works on problems while I coach them in real time, stepping in only at the exact point of confusion. We close with a short recap so the student leaves each session with a sense of what to focus on before the next one.
What sets me apart is that I'm not just a student who's strong at math and physics. I'm currently working professionally in applied computational math, interning at a tech startup building real identity-verification and cryptographic systems. That means I can connect advanced math and physics concepts to how they're genuinely used in technical fields, which makes challenging material feel motivated rather than abstract. I also went through rigorous exam prep myself in these exact subjects, so I understand the material from the student's perspective.
My lessons are best suited for high school students working at an advanced level in algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, and physics, specifically those in AP-level courses who need help not just learning the material, but structuring their reasoning the way exams actually grade it. I especially enjoy working with students who are curious about how math and physics connect to real technical fields like engineering, computer science, or applied research.

ANSH IS THE BEST!! Very good professor and helped my son get 1580 on SAT and 36 on ACT. MUCH THANKS ANSH
I’ve known Ansh as a tutor and have really enjoyed learning from him. He explains difficult concepts clearly, is patient when I have questions, and makes sure I understand the material rather than just memorize it. I especially appreciated how he broke down challenging problems step by step and helped me become more confident solving them on my own. I’d definitely recommend Ansh to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive tutor!
