About Stephen
I am a middle-aged Scot. I graduated from Glasgow University with an M.A. (Hons) in English Language and was fortunate to have been accepted by The JET Program pre-graduation, allowing me to spend a wonderful year in Japan just after leaving University. In 2010 I moved to China, where I have been ever since.

Hello everyone
I have been teaching people of all ages and abilities for 17 years. I have been based in China for the last 16 years and before then I spent a year teaching in Japan. My youngest student was 18 months old; my oldest was a lovely lady in her late 50s. I believe that everyone can learn to communicate in another language with the right approach and effort. Finding the right balance of academia and creativity is important.
