About Matt
I am an experienced teacher of English, French and Italian but I have also been proofreading academic papers and dissertations in English for many years now, mainly for students at the University of Manchester. Students particularly appreciate my friendly, professional approach and attention to detail.

I correct errors of punctuation, spelling and grammar. I also identify sentences that are not clear and, with my student's help, rewrite the sentence so that is clear. I prefer to sit with my student while I am proofreading so I can ask any questions. However, I can also proofread documents via email if this is not possible.

If I have to travel outside Manchester, I charge a fee for time/travel. I am happy to discuss my student's needs for about 30 minutes if necessary free of charge. However, proofreading is not free.
