About Asha

I am a Manchester born-and-bred Linguistics graduate with a passion for learning, I believe there are always opportunities to learn something new and I always find that different students have something to teach me as well!
I love languages, English language and linguistics, writing essays, verbal reasoning and music (I play piano, violin, guitar and ukulele, I also sing and write and release songs). I have benefited from many great teachers in my life and am thrilled to have the opportunity to pass on some of their knowledge.

About the lesson

I love students who are willing to give it a try and get it wrong - that's the best way to learn and improve. I will push you but only as much as you're willing to work. Lesson can be any length from 30 mins to 1.5 hours, depending on what works for you - you know how your concentration and attention span are! I am happy to take the lead from you or I can suggest a plan and go from there.
I can teach anyone from age 5 to 18 - I have experience with all ages and different strategies for learners of different ages. I have a full enhanced DBS, experience with children with SEN and have even taught piano lessons in Spanish as well as teaching classes of adults.

Violin grade 8 with distinction, experience playing solo and in ensembles (string group and orchestra) with experience teaching violin to beginners and helping younger players.
