I use a gentle, structured, and individualized approach rooted in special education best practices. Lessons are adapted to each learner’s pace, strengths, and needs. I incorporate visual supports, clear routines, positive reinforcement, and multisensory strategies to reduce frustration and build confidence. My focus is always on helping students feel safe, capable, and successful while learning.

⸻

A Typical Lesson Plan

Each lesson follows a predictable and supportive structure:
• Check-in & warm-up to ease into learning
• Targeted instruction based on the student’s goals
• Hands-on or visual activities to reinforce understanding
• Guided practice with encouragement and feedback
• Quick reflection or success review to end on a positive note

Lessons remain flexible and are adjusted in real time to meet the student’s emotional and learning needs.

⸻

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

I am a former special education teacher with experience supporting diverse learners, including students with autism, ADHD, learning differences, and emotional regulation challenges. I prioritize progress over pressure, focusing on confidence, self-regulation, and small, meaningful wins. I also communicate clearly with families and provide strategies that can be used outside of tutoring sessions.

⸻

Who My Lessons Are For

My lessons are ideal for:
• Preschool through early elementary students
• Learners needing academic support, behavioral support, or SEL skill development
• Students with IEPs, learning differences, or who benefit from a patient, structured approach
• Families seeking individualized, one-on-one tutoring (virtual or in-person, depending on availability)
