I have orchestrated 8+ communication design modules with hands-on mentoring for 150+ students in NIFT Delhi & IICD Jaipur over the past 3 years. I have 8 years of industry experience in communication design. THE SYLLABUS: The class will include producing graphic design projects spanning digital and analog mediums, encompassing layout, typography, and design hierarchy. Students will be guided in crafting impactful portfolios, mastering presentation skills, and adeptly engaging with potential employers and clients. With my design background in the marketing industry, the input and feedback I give are relevant to the current times and help the students dynamically learn design. With me, it's more important that the student learns the core principles of design and how to apply them to their work. Software is secondary and only a tool. Once you understand design, you can use any software to create the perfect design. SOFTWARES: The module will largely include Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign. Figma can also be used. Canva can be used but not encouraged as it does not have all the tools required for design learning. LEARNING LEVEL: Some design background/interest would be needed. Basic command over any one software will be required to understand how to implement the design module. High School students, Undergraduates, Postgraduates and even working professionals interested in design may apply.
