Perfect! Felt very comfortable with David and he was very encouraging! Looking forward to working with him
Perfect! David is really great to work with, singing in front of a stranger can be weird but David is very friendly and I quickly relaxed into it. He's very knowledgeable and I can already hear a positive change in my singing
Perfect! Friendly and encouraging first lesson.
Excellent! Fine. He got the best out of me. We did some scales and I enjoyed zoom as I haven't used it before.
Perfect! David was so great! made me feel so comfortable. Encouraged me and when I would make a mistake I felt no judgement at all. He created a safe space and was a great teacher. Totally recommend!

Perfect! Amazing singing teacher! Always so cheerful and encouraging - I really enjoy my online singing lessons and would highly recommend David.
- David's response : Steve has a very musical ear and is engaged with the songs that we are working on, tackling the piece with fun and enthusiasm. His ability to make changes to his voice is aiding him in his development as well as his piano playing which greatly improves the online learning experience.
Perfect! Highly Recommended! David is very experienced and knowledgable about music and singing. His classes are very informative and fun. He really cares about helping you achieve your goals. Thanks David!
Perfect! I really like David. I can clearly see his experience in the way he teaches and how he tries to improve his online lessons. I am really glad that he is one of those teachers that gets involve in the lessons and prioritise the learning of the student. Thanks to all of this I am absolutely sure that I have made a wisely decision.

Perfect! excellent communication great teacher
Perfect! David has been fantastic to work with. Over only a few weeks I have learned a lot! The lessons have been fun and David has been very encouraging and open to all musical styles. I highly recommend.
Perfect! David is the best! He has really helped me a lot with my singing but as I mainly just do it for fun, he's a great laugh too. I always enjoy the lessons.
Perfect! I decided to get singing lessons as I am singing a song that i wrote at my brothers wedding in the summer. I had my first lesson with David and i took my lyrics with me. We have been working on the song for a few months - David has helped me with tuning, timing and breathing (amoung many things!) and he even helped me when i was stuck with some of the lyrics! He has always been so enthusiastic and encouraging during our lessons and i have improved so much since starting with him only a few months ago. He is really creative with his teaching and i look forward to my lessons with him each week. I wouldn't have the confidence or skills to sing the song in front of an audience if it wasn't for David, and he has really taken the time to learn my song so he can help me as much as possible. I couldn't recommend David enough, if you want to be creative or just improve your vocals he is the tutor to go for!!
- David's response : Grace has worked extremely hard for her project and has put a lot of effort and passion into the final product.

Find out more about David
When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?
I have always had a passion making music. From an early age my home was filled with the sound of music and many different instruments. I am extremely lucky to have music as a full time career and help others on their musical journey.
Is there a particular type music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?
I like to listen to as much music as I can so don't find myself listening to just one genre of music. However, nothing is better than the classics to help you unwind after a busy day!
Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.
I have taught from beginners in music all the way up to university level, every pupil is different and I reflect that in my lessons.
What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?
The bagpipes, I love the sound but it drives the neighbours crazy!
What are your keys to success?
I think the key to success in music is loving what you do. Sure, practice makes perfect but it amounts to little if you don't enjoy it.
Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.
I think Bach would be too busy writing to be in the pub, though he did like his coffee! So Mozart, Frank Sinatra and Paul McCartney. I bet they would have some great stories to tell!
Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.
I always enjoy tackling new genres and musical ideas. This was the same when I was at university when I ended up writing a piece that included the use of a microwave, much to the irritation of my flat mates!
What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?
I've taught students of all ages and genres so I pride myself on tailoring my courses to suit each induvial learner. Whether you want to learn for school, open mic sessions or just for yourself I'm happy to help!
