About Zoe
Teaching singing allows you to see how people use their voices to tell stories in ways they never thought possible. You might be a working professional seeking a creative outlet or a teen looking to refine your stage presence. My perspective is shaped by a BM Popular Music from the University of Southern California and 13 years of performing. I see myself as a guide who understands the intersection of gospel and blues vocal traditions.
Throughout my 318 students taught, I have learned that the voice is a reflection of the person behind it. My expertise is grounded in helping you find your natural resonance across pop and musical theater styles.

Pacing the session involves careful attention to your breathing control so that feedback remains productive and never exhausting. We will look at how your head and chest voice interact within the context of your specific genre. Microphone technique is essential for any performer who wants to sound as powerful in a room as they do in the studio.
You will learn to manage your nerves during exam preparation or before a big performance. Sometimes the most progress happens when we simplify the vocal line. It is a process. We keep it honest.
