About Marcel

I am a finance undergraduate student at the University of Warwick. After missing school a lot around GCSE I went from a predicted 6 to achieving an A* equivalent in a month and an achieved A* in A level using my own method of exam specific questions and past papers. I now want to help others study more efficiently and stop wasting time on overcomplicating revision.

About the lesson

Focus on improving exam results as much as possible without unnecessary repetition. Put a heavy focus on syllabus and past papers. Lessons are 1 or 2 hours long depending on the needs of the student. I have been a tutor for 2 years achieving A* in A level and GCSE. Teaching A level and GCSE students.

Marcel taught my son maths throughout his GCSEs, bringing him from having to do maths foundation at a constant 4 to doing higher maths and achieving an 8 in his final exam. Marcel is great at motivating; my son struggled to stay focused and be motivated to do any revision, and this changed a lot. It was an easy decision to continue using Marcel's help with A-levels, and my son got a final grade of A*.

I found Marcel when I was struggling with my maths GCSEs, for which I was predicted a 5. I was unsure how to study effectively and was unmotivated, giving up in the December before my exams. With Marcel's help and new strategies, I went from a 5 to a 9 in 5 months. He explains questions in a clear way that made maths I thought was really difficult seem much simpler.
