About Isha
Hi, I am Isha! For the past five years, I have had the absolute joy of teaching online painting classes to children across the USA and the UAE. Seeing my students fall in love with art and develop their creative confidence is the most rewarding part of what I do.
My professional background as an Instructional Designer has deeply shaped my approach to tutoring. It allows me to craft well-structured, easy-to-follow lessons that are specifically designed to keep young minds engaged and focused. I know how to break down complex artistic concepts into simple, actionable steps so that kids never feel overwhelmed.
Beyond watercolors, my personal passion for gouache painting and digital illustration means I bring a wide range of creative knowledge to the classroom. I pride myself on being patient, professional, and endlessly encouraging. I understand that trying something new can be intimidating for young artists, so I focus on building a warm, supportive online environment where your child can safely explore their imagination and grow their skills.

My teaching approach is all about making watercolor painting fun, approachable, and a great confidence-builder for young minds just starting their artistic journey. I believe that learning art should be a stress-free, creative outlet after a long school day.
My Teaching Method
I use a highly encouraging, step-by-step method designed specifically for beginners. Instead of overwhelming students with complex art theory, I break techniques down into simple, bite-sized actions. We focus on hands-on practice, learning how water and colors playfully interact on the page, and learning to treat mistakes as happy accidents rather than frustrations.
Class Structure
A typical class is structured to keep students engaged from start to finish without losing focus. We kick off with a quick, 10-minute "color play" warmup to loosen up our brushstrokes. Next, I introduce one core technique—like making a smooth wash or blending two colors together. For the rest of the session, we apply this technique to a fun, guided project that they can successfully finish by the end of the class.
What Makes My Classes Unique
What sets my classes apart is how I tailor the subjects to what kids actually care about. To keep them excited and motivated, I often incorporate themes they already love into our painting projects—whether that's nature, animals, or even learning how to paint their favorite video game characters and animations in watercolor!
