My teaching is built on the belief that precision in pitch unlocks the true beauty of violin playing. From the very first lesson, we focus on listening as carefully as we play. Training the ear to catch even the slightest pitch variation is essential, and I make it a part of every practice routine.
I use drone practice to anchor intonation and help students develop a steady tonal center. This builds confidence in every position and ensures that shifting becomes both accurate and effortless. By reinforcing these skills early, students gain freedom to express themselves musically without worrying about missing a note.
I tailor my approach to each student’s style, whether that means matching the violin’s tone to a powerful lead vocal or shaping phrases to blend perfectly in a chamber piece. We explore bowing, vibrato, and dynamic control so that every in-tune note carries warmth and character.
My lessons mix technical precision with creative expression, ensuring that skill and artistry grow together. The goal is not only to play in tune but to make the violin resonate with emotion. With consistent practice and guided listening, we can turn careful intonation into effortless beauty.
